TORNIKE ABULADZE* 2
21/01/2021
Rosa Stern presents the third edition of TESTSPIEL: a series of short interventions by local artists using the space and architectural structure of Rosa Stern Space for the production of new works. The focus shifts to the artistic process and the production set becomes the exhibited work. Our guest is Munich based artist Tornike Abuladze. For one day he will test run his installation “2’’. Two window-cleaning robots trapped in a glass cube filled with water vapor are constantly trying to get a clear view. While doing that they repeatedly bump up against the invisible limits of their little transparent cosmos: a clear vision becomes impossible. A metaphor for our current social situation in which we are trapped.
Tornike Abuladze is a Munich based artist from Georgia who works with all kind of media - from painting to technical, multimedia installations. After his Degree at State Academy of Fine Art Tbilisi in Georgia he currently studies with Peter Kogler at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. In 2020 he founded „ille Galerie“ together with Janina Totzauer and Sebastian Quast. His works has been shown i.a. at Emanuel Fremin Gallery and Cadena Gallery (NY, USA), ART Karlsruhe, Gallery Art Loft (Düsseldorf).
