Rosa Stern Space presents the eighth edition of TESTSPIEL: a series of brief interventions by local artists using the space and architectural structure of Rosa Stern Space for the production and trial of new projects. The focus shifts to the artistic process and the production set becomes the exhibited work.
Our guest will be Munich based artist Maxi Schwarzkopf who will test run and further develop her interactive installation EM BODY MENT which deals with the fascination for the human shell, following women and their stories about the female body.
For the production of a video work Maxi Schwarzkopf is still looking for participants who are interested in creating a 3D scan of their torsos.

EM BODY MENT show an abstraction of the human shell. The body that surrounds our being. Our body - our temple. The walking box that represents us as humans in the outside world, that we obsess over, decorate, dress up, transform, exercise. It is the casket that contains us as beings. Our incarnated caskets embody us.

Maxi Schwarzkopf is a Munich-based Makeup, Hair and Special Effects Artist who is currently working on her masters degree at the Bavarian Theatre Academy August Everding. Her current works revolve around the female body. She focuses on recreating a hyperrealistic depiction of women while playing with the abstraction of the torso at the same time.
