Rosa Stern Space presents the fourth edition of HEIMSPIEL: a solo show by our team member Kalas Liebfried.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a series of sound performances at our venue:

Since the beginning of time, the universe has vibrated and sent out a key tone, an incomprehensible growling. An all-encompassing feeling rises: We, the listeners, are wired to eternity, but forced to change; coated in leather and ready to dissolve in space:

Our bodies as resonant soundboards drifting along infinite futures – stand by for takeoff…

NOTE 2. (CW)

Sustained tones or identifiably repeating, drones are situated as a key compositional tool in contemporary music cultures. The drone is transcending/liberating: totalising/oppressing - "elevating the mundane or physical and transforming it into something spiritual."

The exhibition features sound pieces co-composed by Kalas Liebfried and Abdullah Miniawy, WTNS, Samuel Karugu, Robin Jermer, Rozenn le Trionnaire, Nursalim Yadi Anugerah; accompanying text by Chris Wenn, displayed with type faces by Fabian Maier-Bode; cover artwork in collaboration with Rosanna Marie Pondorf.
