Within a few centuries it will be technically possible to eliminate all forms of suffering in the living world. If we want to, hedonic engineering and nanotechnology could be used to completely eliminate the biological substrates of cruelty altogether. Paradise on Earth just a few evolutionary steps away? This project is ambitious but technically feasible. Should we do it?
